Brandon Blackwell’s connection to sound began at a young age, mixing live audio for his local church in New Jersey. It wasn’t just a task—it was the start of a journey that would shape his life. A Sade concert later solidified his path, showing him the transformative power of sound and inspiring him to pursue a career in audio engineering.

In 2013, Brandon graduated from Full Sail University with a degree in Show Production and Touring, combining his hands-on experience with technical expertise. Armed with a clear vision, he founded Blackwell Productions and began building his career in the music industry. His skill and dedication quickly caught the attention of top artists, and he soon found himself mixing monitors for legends like Ray Chew, Chaka Khan, Jennifer Hudson, The Isley Brothers, and Angie Stone. Over the years, he has worked with iconic artists such as Cher, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, TLC, and Tori Kelly, delivering exceptional sound for some of the world’s most memorable performances.

Beyond his professional achievements, Brandon is passionate about giving back. He mentors aspiring sound engineers and collaborates with organizations like Diversify the Stage, My Brother's Keeper Alliance, and Guitars Over Guns Organization, helping to create opportunities for young people in audio and music production.

In 2023, Brandon’s contributions were recognized when he was inducted into the Full Sail University Hall of Fame. That same year, he and his wife Ariel co-authored The Beat In My Head, an award-winning children’s book introducing young readers to the art and science of audio engineering.

Brandon Blackwell’s journey is driven by a deep love for sound and its ability to transform moments. His work continues to inspire, blending technical mastery with a dedication to shaping the future of the industry.
