
About Brandon
From a young age, Brandon always knew he wanted a career in the music industry. He started to develop his passion for live sound at 16 years old mixing for his local church in New Jersey. After attending a Sade concert in 2011, his decision was solidified to pursue his calling. Brandon attended Full Sail University in Orlando, FL, where he graduated in 2013 with a Bachelors Degree in Show Production and Touring. With his degree in hand, he moved back to New Jersey and began freelancing in and around New York City. While freelancing in NYC, Brandon got a crash course in mixing monitors for many great artist of today and the past such as; Chaka Khan, Jennifer Hudson, The Isley Brothers and Angie Stone, just to name a few. He was called for his first big gig mixing monitors for R&B artist Ne-Yo and after a few months he then went on his first tour with TLC, as the Monitor Engineer and Production Manager. When the tour ended, everything started to fall in place and Brandon caught the touring bug! From there on, Brandon has mixed for many of today’s biggest artists such as A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Baby Keem, Lizzo, Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, Camila Cabello, Big Sean and manny more.
Brandon Blackwell is also an author! With his wife Ariel, they created "The Beat In My Head", the first children's book on audio engineering!
